I believe in being true to yourself. When I first became a mom, I felt like I was losing my identity. All the diaper bags I saw - which looked like they were made for children - didn't help. I started Alise to create a beautiful leather diaper bag that would be what I needed for my kids and for me. Motherhood means sacrifice, but style doesn't have to be on the list.
The vegetable tanning process creates a gorgeous material that absorbs the traces of your life and matures with time while aging beautifully.
Alise designed her first bags in 2017 at the kitchen table of her then Northern California home.
Our items are ethically sourced, which ensures that they are produced and purchased in a manner that demonstrates respect for the craftsmen who produce them as well as for the environment.
Handcrafted and subject to strict quality controls, Alise bags and wallets are made in Italy through traditional Tuscan techniques. The workers’ attention to detail, passion, knowledge and heritage was transmitted from generation to generation into the leather diaper bags that we created.
